In Memory

Charlie McCalgan VIEW PROFILE

Dear Friends,

It is with regret and sadness that we advise you of the passing of Charlie Macalgan on 17 November in East London. Charlie had not been well for a number of years and it is no secret that he battled his addiction for the latter part of his life. Even during his difficult times, he never lost his keen sense of humour and his infectious laugh that made many of us smile.

I suppose it is a reminder to the rest of us to live life as best we can.

Go in peace Charlie.

Very sad to hear this.
My sincere condolences to Charlie's nearest and dearest.

Some people are larger than life and indeed Charlie was one of them.

Shall always remember his love of life and ability to make people laugh.

RIP Charlie. Another chapter closed- but your memory lives on in our hearts. :(

Hi - I saw the notice of Charlie's death in the Daily Dispatch, and was going to try to attend his funeral as he was quite good friends with my brother Alan, but I had exam invigilation so not possible. Poor guy really seemed down and out at the end, and, as you say, he had the most infectious laugh, and had been a good sportsman. RIP Charlie
